The König Ludwig in Schwangau represents a wellness approach that goes far beyond classic relaxation. Nestled in the expanse of the Allgäu Alpine foothills and surrounded by the legendary royal castles, the resort combines retreat, spaciousness, and alpine elegance into a holistic spa experience. For several years, we have been supporting the host family in the architectural development of the hotel – in stages that harmoniously fit into the overall picture and carefully enhance the character of the resort.

A new reception area with a discreet spa reception and stylish lounge creates an atmosphere of tranquility upon arrival. Spacious changing rooms, a carefully curated spa shop, and new treatment rooms with panoramic views complement the existing offerings. In 2024, the spa offerings were expanded to include a spacious spa lounge and several relaxation rooms – with the aim of harmonizing retreat and experience.
The König Ludwig is a hotel with attitude – and living proof of how architecture, ambience, and mindfulness combine to create something greater: a truly inspirational spa.
